A Positive & Nurturing Environment

ViaQuest Day & Employment services provides support to empower adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)to live their best lives while achieving optimum health and   independence. We deliver on this promise in a setting that is safe, inviting, challenging and fun.

Providing a Foundation for Success

ViaQuest’s Day & Employment Services are focused on providing opportunities for individuals with specialized needs through professional training and hands-on community involvement. Individuals receive the opportunity to work with professional job coaches and explore career options, while actively engaging in social and recreational activities, and also have access to paid vocational training so they can develop skills for community employment. Through personalized plans, ViaQuest is able to help individuals develop the skills necessary to live their best lives possible.

Day Program

Our day program is focused on educational interests and daily community integration activities to encourage personal and social growth. We provide a stimulating, structured environment, with programming designed to encourage independence. Our team teaches a wide range of skills, from personal hygiene practice to safety and computer skills. We also have regularly planned guests who offer activities such as music therapy and therapy animals.

Vocational Program

ViaQuest’s vocational program is focused on training for potential work opportunities. The training program allows individuals to gain and be assessed on skills needed to work on a crew or in the community. Services could include problem solving, task completion, attendance and much more. This program offers the ability to earn compensation while learning transferable skills, as well as the opportunity to participate in work activities that pay a competitive wage.

Employment Program

Through our developmental disabilities employment program, we offer individualized employment training focused on job readiness, career exploration, job development and interviewing. Individuals work with a job developer and are able to attend group sessions that explore real world employment scenarios and involve guest speakers from local businesses, facility operation tours, and more.

In addition, ViaQuest has developed strong relationships with many local and national companies who also share our passion for serving others. Because of this, we are able to provide internship opportunities within the community and successful job placements.

Therapeutic Behavioral Services

Our therapeutic behavioral support (TBS) specialists, traditionally referred to as case managers, work with the individuals on day-to-day behavioral skills, and also can serve as advocates for those individuals who cannot advocate for themselves. These specialists work with clients individually as well as in group settings at our day programs, often coordinating with community services such as county agencies and employment services. Our TBS services focus on:

  • Symptom monitoring and management
  • Life skills
  • Coping mechanisms
  • Social, emotional, stress management, anger management, communication and interpersonal relationship skill building
  • Crisis intervention and prevention
  • Support system training, including client triggers and de-escalation techniques
